Assessment Information
The information on this page relates to students completing assessments towards a Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualification. For information on Higher Education assessment please refer to the Student Handbook for Higher Education or visit the AIM Business School page.
Assessment Submission
To submit your assessment please follow the instructions on our assessment submission page. If you received your course access and assessment via myAIM please use this log in to submit the relevant assessment. All other assessments still get submitted using the assessment submission
Please DO NOT submit your assessment to AIM in hard copy, we expect all assessment submissions to be submitted electronically.
Assessment Timelines
When you complete a unit of study with AIM either online or face to face you will receive access to an assessment kit. The assessment kit will indicate a suggested time frame for when your assessment should be submitted. Your assessment will need to be submitted electronically only
Number of Assessment Attempts
You will have two opportunities in total to submit evidence for assessment. This includes your original submission and any re-submission.
Resubmission
If your assessment is returned to you because it is incomplete you will have four weeks from the date of notification of the original assessment result to resubmit your assessment for marking. Resubmit your assessment please follow the instructions on our assessment submission page.
Recognition of Prior Learning
If you are completing assessment through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) you will have six weeks to submit your assessment from the date you are in receipt of your RPL assessment.
Appealing an assessment Decision
If you disagree with an assessment decision please contact AIM on 1300 221 517 in the first instance to discuss your result. If you wish to formally appeal an assessment decision please complete the Application to Appeal Assessment Decision and submit it to AIM.
