Time Commitment
The time it will take to develop competency in the units that form this qualification is dependent on existing skills and experience.
Typically, to complete within the specified course duration, it is recommended that students commit approximately 10-12 hours per week plus additional time for assessment to developing their competency through a range of learning, workbased skills testing and assessment activities.
Assessments
All 11 units of competency are required to be completed for this qualification.
Students should contact the RTO for options including any RPL or credit transfers.
This program has been designed to accommodate working professionals. Accordingly, all mentored development and assessments are conducted in a way that is mindful that is mindful of an appropriate work-life balance. There will be practical workbooks for you to complete with a business owner.

Additional Information
Entry requirements
Entrants to the Diploma of Business Advisory must:
- be over 18 years of age
- have at least 3 years’ combined experience at a senior management position or as a business owner/
manager, OR - have been, in the last 3 years, a certified accountant, financial planner, business broker, financial planner,
lawyer or otherwise qualified professional - have access to two actual business advisory clients in a workplace environment where the business owner
can sign off on the student’s performance - Be technologically literate and have access to the MS office suite or equivalent
- Have continuous internet access
- Have a unique student identifier (USI) number
- Have the ability to read and write English and display numeracy skills to at least Year 10 level.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Payment Options
As our delivery partner, payments for this Qualification are made directly to the Institute of Advisors. Upon completion of your application form you will be entered into the Institute of Advisors system for payment and delivery. The Institute of Advisors has card or invoicing payment options.
