Andrew Mills
Andrew Mills has been involved in the education sector for 25 years working in an executive leadership capacity. More recently over the last decade, he has also held several executive and non-executive board roles with education entities. Andrew provides oversight and guidance on strategy, corporate governance, and risk management. As Chairman of the Corporate Board for AIM, Andrew works closely with the business on operational and commercial issues and provides direction on governance and compliance with TEQSA, ASQA and other regulatory matters.
Martin Mercer
For the decade up to 2020, Martin was the CEO and MD of two high-growth businesses. More recently, he was the CEO of a start-up disrupting the legal practice management industry. He has successfully led a disruptive challenger brand during its scale-up phase, an incumbent internet services business through a turnaround and ultimate transformation into a leading digital services business, and a start-up taking an innovative SaaS platform to market.
In addition to a dozen years of CEO experience, Martin has enjoyed senior leadership roles in functional areas including sales, marketing, product management, channel management, business development, and strategy and planning. This experience was acquired in both B2B and B2C contexts. Martin is responsible for the performance of Scentia and its operating businesses.
Warren Creighton
Warren Creighton has spent over 13 years in senior roles in finance in the private education sector. He oversees all financial matters, including compliance with corporate and accounting standards and TEQSA and ASQA standards. He oversees the development of budgets for Scentia and its entities, including AIM.
Professor Daniel Samson
Professor Daniel Samson has spent 30 years as a professor in a leading university, where he has been a member of the academic board and served in various leadership roles, as well as being an experienced curriculum designer, lecturer, researcher, commercial and government board member and consultant. As he also serves as Chairman of the AIM Business School academic board, he works to ensure the sound connection between academic governance and overall strategic leadership of AIM.
Carolyn Taylor
Carolyn Taylor has over 25 years of corporate experience in global organisations, where her passion for building learning cultures that are future-focused has supported the rapid growth and success of these organisations. Carolyn has specialist experience in learning, leadership capability development, talent and career development, culture and performance – areas that through their integration build workplaces where people can develop and thrive, resulting in a competitive and future-ready organisation. Carolyn brings current corporate experience, including a strong understanding of the challenges and needs of businesses as they face an ever-changing and dynamic competitive environment, and how this may impact educational program design and delivery.

Jo Thomas has over 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles spanning the education and technology sectors. She has served as CEO of a leading independent higher education provider and is now the founder of a high-growth startup transforming the education space.
Jo’s expertise includes strategic leadership, business transformation, and scaling organisations in regulated markets. Her career has been defined by a commitment to innovation, creating solutions that simplify access to education, and fostering cultures of accountability and performance.
