December Edition of Leading Edge with Ann Messenger
It’s been a huge year for AIM and we have no plans to slow down as we move into 2017!
I am pleased to announce our Member referral winner is Sanjay Bhat AIMM. Sanjay was referred to us by current Member Joseph Dajher AFAIM. Both Members will join AIM Chief Executive David Pich for lunch in the New Year. A golden opportunity to pick David’s brains about leadership and the business landscape.
We are already preparing for the International Women’s Day Debates in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. The events will be held on 8th March 2017 and will tackle the topic: Australia in 2017 is still a man’s world. As part of our commitment to regional areas, AIM will also be holding an International Women’s Day luncheon in Toowoomba and at the Sunshine Coast. The annual AIM International Women's Day events are an institution and should not be missed!
Later that same month, we will hold our 2017 AIM Conference. Following the success of this year’s conference in Brisbane, AIM is bringing the Leadership Matters Conference to Melbourne in March 2017. Join us to hear a range of perspectives and connect with like-minded professionals at this dynamic and diverse national conference.
Also taking place early next year is our event partnership with the Growth Faculty, hosting international visionary thinker and leader expert, Simon Sinek, as he presents the 'Start With Why' Leadership Forum. Sinek’s ‘How Great Leaders Inspire Action’ TED Talk currently sits at number three on the list of the most popular TED talks of all time. We’re thrilled to be able to offer our Members a special discount to the forum when they register through this link.
This week saw the last of our Member-only End of Year Events take place in Canberra, Darwin and Brisbane. Thank you to all those who came and congratulations to all Members who celebrated a Membership tenure milestone this year.
Lastly, I’d like to thank all our Members for making AIM the organisation it is. AIM is only as great as its Members are, and your participation has been a crucial part of the successes in 2016.
We hope all our Members have a safe and happy Christmas and New Year holiday season. Please be aware that the AIM offices will be closed in various locations throughout the break. Click here for dates and times at each venue.
We look forward to developing and celebrating great leadership and management with you in 2017!
