AIM30 – Young Managers Making Their Mark
The Australian Institute of Management has launched its latest list of outstanding young management talent with the national release of the AIM30. The AIM30 is one of Australia’s most prestigious listings of industry leaders under the age of 30, who are making a mark on the management profession. AIM was inundated with applications from young managers all across Australia who wanted to be featured on this exclusive list and the final 30 were selected via a stringent internal recruitment process. Candidates were judged on their unique leadership skills, impact, vision and potential, and most importantly, all applicants had to be aged 30 or under to qualify.
The AIM30 individuals are an essential strategy in the future of the recently merged national AIM according to its Chief Executive Officer Daniel Musson FAIM. “AIM has a long and proud of history of supporting young managers and graduates,” Mr Musson said. “This initiative focuses on the future of business. For an organisation like AIM to remain relevant, we need to actively engage with young people and support them on their management journeys, from the cradle to the grave. “Young managers understand exactly what people in their demographic want out of their managers and careers and we look forward to learning from this outstanding group of young people. “The 2013 AIM30 was a resounding success and I have no doubt the 2014 list are the future leaders of our society and we are proud to be associated with them.” This year’s list follows the inaugural AIM30 in 2013 which consisted of young managers based only in Queensland and the Northern Territory. So successful was that campaign that AIM decided to go national in 2014. Judging by the experiences of the 2013 AIM30 Alumni, the 2014 AIM30 can now look forward to greater industry recognition and career opportunities.
